Company: History

TG produces transfer paper for narrow fabrics, sometimes referred to as sublimation transfers for textile printing.

Formed in 1986 by a group of business people combining Sublimation Production, Sales and Marketing Skills who recognised that there was considerable scope in the narrow fabric industry to offer patterns or branding to a previously untapped market.

Transfra Graphics was the first such specialized company in Europe and worked with market leaders in these early years to mastermind transfer printing onto decorative ribbon, lingerie and sportswear ... and still working with these same pioneers 20 years later.

Family Origins
From the early days of the late 1960’s the Baker family have been involved in dye sublimation and textile printing.

Firstly managing the export department of the first UK printer, which later resulted in the sales of millions of transfers to the growing Textile regions of the world. Involvement in the largest ever sale of transfers to Russia involving over 12 million motifs is another special family memory.

Staff Roots
The majority of TG staff have also enjoyed working life experience in sublimation ink printing for textiles. From apprentice and professional print-qualified, we are pleased to have the longest serving printer in this industry (38 years, who began in 1968).

Probably taking all seven production staff a combined total of some 130 years experience in this industry!
